As part of this announcement, it became known that Bahrain will host the World Championship for adults for the first time, while the adult Asian Championship has been awarded to Jordan, despite Amman already being the host of this tournament this year.
In early December, UWW President Nenad Lalovic visited Bishkek, where he met with the leadership of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan and toured the new "Jashtyk Arena".
According to information provided by Sport AKIpress, federation representatives appealed to the UWW president with a request to organize the Asian Championship in Bishkek.
The official UWW website confirms that the tournament will take place from April 6 to 12 in Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan has previously hosted continental competitions for adults three times — in 2007, 2018, and 2024.
