From January 13 to 18, the boxing championship for boys born in 2010-2011 was held in Kara-Balta.
The event took place in the "Zdorovye" boxing hall and gathered 207 participants from different corners of the region.
According to the results of the competition, among the boxers from Kara-Balta, the winners were:
- Kurmanbekov Amirhan — weight category 80 kg
- Odabashov Salim — weight category 80 kg.
Both athletes train under the guidance of Ruslan Baisariev. These two boxers will represent their region at the republican championship, which will take place from January 26 to 31 in Bishkek.
Also from Kara-Balta, the following athletes will compete for the Chui region at the republican championship:
- Mamatayeva Farzona (48 kg)
- Abdyssalamova Sezim (52 kg)
- Damirbekova Zhibek (54 kg).
These girls also train with coach R. Baisariev.
