Rose Namajunas believes Shevchenko and Nunes are equal in status as the greatest

Rose Namajunas, holding the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship title, believes that it is impossible to definitively single out the greatest female fighter of all time when it comes to Valentina Shevchenko and Amanda Nunes.

At the press conference before UFC 324, Namajunas emphasized that both athletes deserve to be called the greatest. Despite Nunes having two victories over Shevchenko, she noted that the second fight remains a subject of debate, and the contributions of both champions to the development of women's MMA are comparable.

Additionally, Rose commented on Shevchenko's recent victory over Zhang Weili. She admitted that she predicted Valentina's success but expected the fight to be more competitive. Namajunas believes that Weili's team may have underestimated the difficulty of moving to the flyweight division, while Shevchenko demonstrated a high level of preparation in this bout.

It is worth noting that the 33-year-old Namajunas is ranked sixth in the UFC Women's Flyweight rankings and will face Natalia Silva, who is ranked second, on the night of January 24-25 at UFC 324.
