
Kyrgyz wrestler Orozobek Toktomambetov won a silver medal at the international ranking tournament MUHAMET MALO-2026, which is taking place in Tirana, in the weight category up to 74 kg.
According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Toktomambetov began his performances from the 1/8 finals, where he won against Azerbaijani athlete Kanan Heybatov with a score of 3:1.
In the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyz wrestler confidently defeated American Quincy Monday with a score of 5:1, which allowed him to advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, Toktomambetov faced Georgian Giorgi Elbakidze and won, finishing the match with a score of 2:0, securing his place in the final.
However, in the decisive match, the wrestler lost to Iranian Younes Aliakbar Emami, with a score of 0:5, becoming the silver medalist of the tournament.
It should be noted that the MUHAMET MALO-2026 tournament is taking place in the Albanian capital Tirana and will last until March 1.
