Agyepong began his football journey at the Right to Dream academy in Ghana. In early 2015, he joined the Manchester City system, but by summer, he was loaned to the Dutch club Twente for one season. There, he played alongside Hakim Ziyech and faced Dirk Kuyt from Feyenoord.
Upon returning to Manchester City, Agyepong was loaned out again, this time to the club NAC Breda, where he also played against Emmen, which featured former Kyrgyzstan national team player Viktor Mayer.
His performances for NAC Breda caught the attention of the Ghana national team coaches, allowing Agyepong to make his debut for the national team. This event occurred on June 11, 2017, in a qualifying match for the Africa Cup of Nations against Ethiopia, where he, playing as a right winger, provided an assist to Asamoah Gyan.

In the summer of 2018, Agyepong returned to Manchester City, but throughout the year, he was unable to make his debut for the first team. In May 2019, he was loaned to the Scottish club Hibernian, where he spent three months playing alongside Australian Mark Milligan, who played at Dolon Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek in 2015.
During the summer of the same year, he continued to represent the Ghana national team, where his teammates included the Ayew brothers — Jordan and Andre.
After that, Agyepong spent three years on loan in Belgium, playing for Waasland-Beveren and Lommel. In the summer of 2022, he concluded his time at Manchester City without ever appearing for the first team. After a year without a club, in the summer of 2023, he signed a contract with Estonian club Paide, where he played five matches in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
In 2025, the winger found himself without a team again, and in February 2026, he signed a contract with Muras United. His potential debut in the Kyrgyzstan championship may take place on March 23 in a game against Kyrgyzaltyn.
