According to the decision of the CAF Appeals Council, in accordance with Article 84 of the Africa Cup of Nations Regulations, Senegal has been recognized as the loser in the final match of the 2025 tournament, which ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), as stated in the official announcement.
In the decisive match, the Senegal national team left the field in the 90+8th minute after a penalty was awarded for a foul against Brahim Diaz. The match resumed 13 minutes later and, as a result, the Senegalese team was recorded as winning the match with a score of 1:0.
