The Kyrgyz Football Union has announced the reasons why some key players were not called up to the national team for the training camp in Turkey.

Under the guidance of new head coach Robert Prosinečki, the national team began its training in Antalya on March 19, and on March 25, they played their first friendly match, where the team lost to Equatorial Guinea with a minimal score of 0:1.

Defender Tamirlan Kozubaev from the Indonesian club "Persita" and midfielder Odiljon Abdurakhmanov from the Vietnamese "Thanh Hoa" were not included in the list of players who went to the training camp.

KFS representatives explained to Sport AKIpress that the absence of these footballers is related to safety concerns during the flight. Additionally, forward Joel Kojo from the Iranian club "Esteghlal" and goalkeeper Erjan Tokataev from "Alga" are currently recovering from injuries.

The initial list also included midfielder Gulzhigit Alykulov from Minsk's "Dynamo" and forward Ernest Batyrkanov from "Dordoi," but they also could not join the team due to injuries sustained.
