Before the upcoming friendly match against Equatorial Guinea, the Kyrgyzstan national football team faced the loss of two key players. This information was provided by the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU).

The match will take place today in Antalya, Turkey, and will start at 20:00 Bishkek time.

Midfielder Gulzhigit Alykulov, representing Dynamo from Minsk, has been diagnosed with a back injury, which will prevent him from participating in the game.

Additionally, forward Ernist Batyrkanov from Dordoi sustained a hamstring injury during a championship match against Asia (1:3) and was substituted at halftime.

In light of this, the KFU decided to keep Batyrkanov at his club for further examination and treatment.

Besides the aforementioned players, forward Joel Kojo and goalkeeper Erjan Tokataev were also not called up for training as they are in the recovery phase.

“They are working on their health,” the KFU added.
