Jumgal Domes
Dzhumgal Domes — nameless domes. There are many of them in the Dzhumgal district. They are now documented, and some of them have been described.
Several ancient domes have survived on the eastern outskirts of the village of Lama on both sides of the road. These monuments are original. Their architectural solution and rich decor speak of the high craftsmanship and rich imagination of Kyrgyz architects from the past century. All these domes are of the colonnade type with portals. The portal of one of the mausoleums is decorated with numerous niches, two of which are in the shape of gears; the lower part of the dome and the upper part of the two-tiered base are adorned with traditional Kyrgyz ornamentation around the entire perimeter. Additionally, according to local residents, the niches of the dome were decorated with portraits and drawings of "honored" people; unfortunately, they have not survived to this day. Another dome is also decorated with an ornament in the shape of ram's horns above the entrance in the center of the portal.

The dome in the village of Chon-Dobe can be referred to as a mazar. It is a majestic mausoleum, decorated with numerous diverse niches on the portal and inside. The dome was a place of worship for believers, as evidenced by fragments of manuscripts and Quran verses in Arabic script found in the mausoleum. According to local residents, this is the mazar of Kurmanbay — formerly a local imam.

A. N. Bernshtam, who also documented a significant number of domed mausoleums in Dzhumgal, particularly highlighted the widely known among residents Chinabi Dome. It was an ordinary domed mausoleum made of raw materials with wooden ceilings, its surface divided into separate platforms, with an entrance in the center, covered by a pointed arch. Near the dome, the scholar recorded gravestones with inscriptions from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. However, these epitaphs have not survived to our time.

About 20 destroyed and semi-destroyed domes are located in the Kara-Oy area near the village of Kairma. All these mausoleums are unlike each other, diverse in their architectural solutions and decor. Here you can see domes of the colonnade type with a dome, portal-type domes with a dome, and domes in the form of a fence. One of the domes is decorated with painting inside. Among them, there are also two-section domes. In general, this area is rich in monuments. Here are the Saka-Usun burial mounds, a medieval settlement, and fortresses from the Kokand period.
