"Dear representatives of the media,
It is a great honor for me to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the United States, esteemed Donald Trump, and to participate in the meeting in the format of "Central Asia - USA".
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to President Trump for the invitation, warm welcome, and the opportunity to discuss important bilateral, regional, and international issues.
The Kyrgyz Republic highly values the United States as a significant partner in foreign policy.
During our meeting, we discussed important aspects of Kyrgyz-American relations and issues related to strengthening cooperation between Central Asia and the USA.
In the context of Kyrgyz-American relations, I would like to highlight four key areas:
- economy, investments, and tourism;
- hydropower;
- digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the IT sector;
- ensuring security and stability.
Upon taking office as head of state, I identified the resolution of border issues with neighboring countries in the spirit of good neighborliness as a top priority.
After five years, I can say with satisfaction that we have achieved this goal, primarily through peaceful means.
Thus, the role of Central Asia on the international stage has significantly increased, and the interest of superpowers in strengthening cooperation with our region has noticeably grown.
The "C5+1" format has become an important platform for political dialogue, which is certainly encouraging.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my special gratitude to President Trump for organizing today’s summit at the beginning of his presidency.
We highly appreciate this step as a testament to the sincere attitude of the USA towards Central Asia.
I am confident that our joint efforts will yield tangible results and mutual benefits for our countries.
Dear President Trump,
esteemed colleagues,
Kyrgyzstan values multilateral relations with the United States and is interested in their further development.
Over the past ten years, our interaction has demonstrated a growth of mutual interests in expanding cooperation.
The region is experiencing positive dynamics in economic growth.
However, for sustainable development, it is crucial to expand trade relations with the USA and attract American investments.
The development of financial and banking cooperation is important for ensuring banking payments, attracting investments, implementing projects, and activating trade between Central Asia and the USA.Our countries possess significant energy resources, and there are broad prospects for partnership with American companies in this area.
The Kyrgyz Republic focuses on three strategic directions in its relations with the USA.
The first is hydropower.
Our combined hydropower potential exceeds 140 billion kilowatt-hours per year, although only about 15% of this resource is utilized.
Kyrgyzstan is ready to offer large and attractive projects for investment in this sector.
The second direction is the development of transport links.
As a landlocked country, Kyrgyzstan pays special attention to strengthening interregional communications and building modern transport infrastructure.
This creates opportunities for increasing trade and turning the region into a transit hub.
The third direction is the development of information technology and artificial intelligence.
Under the slogan "Live in Kyrgyzstan - work with the whole world," the country is actively implementing initiatives for the development of the digital economy.
Kyrgyzstan was one of the first in the region to adopt the "Digital Code," creating favorable conditions for attracting investments in the digital economy.
The IT sector and creative economy are demonstrating rapid growth.
Historically, Kyrgyzstan has not exported products to the USA; however, over the past five years, the export of IT services to the United States has increased 45 times.
In 2024, Kyrgyz IT specialists exported services to more than 63 countries for a total of $130 million, with the USA becoming the main export destination.
40% of all IT services were exported to the United States, including companies located in Silicon Valley.
According to the international index by Chainalysis, Kyrgyzstan ranks 19th in the world in the use and adoption of cryptocurrencies.
In this context, Kyrgyzstan offers the USA cooperation in the field of digital regulation, including the development of innovations in RegTech (regulatory technology).
The Kyrgyz side proposes to consider the possibility of creating a regional RegTech Trust Hub in Kyrgyzstan.Emphasizing the importance of expanding economic and investment relations, I note that the second meeting of entrepreneurs in the format of B5+1 will take place in Bishkek on February 4-5, 2026.
I am convinced that this event will create broad opportunities for American business in areas such as agriculture, e-commerce, IT, transport and logistics, tourism, and banking activities.
Dear colleagues,
in conclusion, I want to express my confidence that today’s meeting will serve as a new impetus for strengthening the multifaceted partnership between Central Asia and the United States.
I thank President Donald Trump of the USA for organizing the "C5+1" format.
Thank you for your attention."
