Abdykasymov Alapay Abdykasymovich
Painter. Honored Worker of Television (State Committee of Television of the USSR), Labor Veteran, Shock Worker of Communist Labor. Winner of the second prize at the All-Union Television Festival "Golden Cup" (Moscow). Born in the village of Bokombaev in the Ton District of the Issyk-Kul Region. In 1958, he graduated from the Frunze Art School.
From 1958 to 1960, he worked as an art editor for the newspaper "Kyrgyzstan Pioneri," in the magazine "Zhas Leninchi," and from 1960 to 1980, he was the chief artist of Kyrgyz Radio and Television, later becoming a production designer.
Since 1971, he has been a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR, and since 1992, a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A. Abdykasymov belongs to the older generation of artists in Kyrgyzstan. His landscapes are paintings about the beauty of his native land, about the harmonious unity of man and the surrounding environment.
Participant in republican exhibitions. The paintings of A. Abdykasymov are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aytiev, as well as in private collections both near and far abroad.
Awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Central Committee of the Komsomol, a Certificate of Honor from the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR, and the medal "For Valorous Labor."
