Koenaliev Kalychbek Karmyshevich


Graphic artist and painter. Born on December 16, 1958, in the village of Arashan, Alamudun District, Chui Region.

In 1980, he graduated from the Frunze Art School and in 1989 from the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute, Faculty of Technology. In 1994, he graduated from the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai, Faculty of Decorative and Applied Arts.

From 1989 to 1992, he worked at the "Mektep" publishing house as an art editor, and from 1992 to 2007, he was the chief artist of the Publishing House "Kyrgyzstan" OJSC "Akyil". In 2006-2007, he taught at the National Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Since 1988, he has been a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR, and since 2001, a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In graphic art, Koenaliev created illustrations for works by Kyrgyz authors and foreign classics. In painting, he works in the historical genre. The artist's programmatic goal is to reflect the history of the Kyrgyz people from primitive times to the present day.

He has been awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic, a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic, a certificate for achievements in artistic design and printing execution, and a certificate from the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic for the artistic design of the book "Memory of the Kyrgyz Warriors Who Died in Afghanistan".
