To implement this strategy, it is planned to create 385 new enterprises across the country, including:
‒ 40 trade and logistics centers (TLCs),
‒ 45 large processing plants,
‒ 300 small and medium-sized enterprises.
These enterprises will be equipped with facilities for the storage and processing of various agricultural products, including meat, milk, fish, wool, leather, vegetables, and fruits, as well as other entities in the agro-industrial sector.
Distribution by regions:
Jalal-Abad region – 7 TLCs and 59 processing enterprises;
- Osh region – 5 TLCs and 53 enterprises;
- Batken region – 8 TLCs and 29 enterprises;
- Talas region – 4 TLCs and 21 enterprises;
- Naryn region – 2 TLCs and 31 enterprises;
- Issyk-Kul region – 6 TLCs and 66 enterprises;
- Chui region – 7 TLCs and 78 enterprises;
- the city of Bishkek – 5 enterprises.
“These plans take into account the specifics of agricultural crops in different regions, which will allow for the creation of a sustainable raw material base when constructing new enterprises. This will lead to a reduction in agricultural product losses, an increase in job opportunities, and an enhancement of the competitiveness of the agro-industrial sector,” the statement notes.
