According to Rustam Baltabaev, Executive Director of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Kyrgyzstan plans to double its agro-export volume by 2030 and achieve a 50% level of agricultural product processing by 2040. These ambitious goals were announced on October 28 during a panel session at the international exhibition KyrgyzTransLogistic 2025.

Baltabaev noted that such measures have become possible thanks to the decree of President Sadyr Japarov, under which more than 35 areas related to stimulating exports, processing, and attracting investments in the agro-industrial sector have been approved.

“The president's task is to double exports by 2030 and raise the processing level to 50% by 2040. This implies the need for a threefold increase in investments in our sector,” he added.

Furthermore, Baltabaev emphasized the importance of effective logistics for the further development of the agro-industrial sector.

“Export is closely linked to transportation and logistics. To achieve sustainable growth, these issues need to be addressed,” he noted.

He also mentioned government programs that offer preferential loans at 6% per annum for agro-industrial enterprises aimed at supporting large producers and addressing the issue of small-scale production in agriculture.
