- As of November 23, the harvest of grain crops (excluding legumes, rice, and buckwheat) in Kyrgyzstan has been completed on an area of 606 thousand hectares, which is 1.1% more compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the National Statistical Committee.

As of this date, the total volume of harvested grain amounted to 1.8 million tons in initial recorded weight, indicating a decrease of 15% compared to last year. The average yield was about 30 centners per hectare. The reduction in gross grain collection is associated with a decline in yields in the farms of Chui and Talas regions.

The Chui region contributed over 640 thousand tons of grain, accounting for 35% of the total volume. This includes 180 thousand tons of wheat (35% of the total wheat volume) and 171.4 thousand tons of barley (36%).

However, compared to the same period last year, there is an increase in gross collection for a number of crops: corn — by 5.1%, rice — by 17.6%, vegetables — by 12.2%, fruit and berry crops — by 13.7%, and melons — by 7%.
