This year, Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating stable results in the yield of major agricultural crops, despite less favorable weather conditions compared to the previous year. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Turatbek Idrisov on the radio.
Idrisov noted that in the Talas region, the yield of peppers reached 25–27 tons per hectare, which is significantly higher than the normal level, which ranged from 15 to 18 tons.
In the Kochkor Valley, potatoes showed a yield of over 35 tons per hectare, although there is an overall decline in some crops compared to the previous year.
“In general, the results are close to last year's level. The weather conditions were more challenging, but the final indicators can be considered satisfactory,” emphasized the deputy minister.
He added: “The government has allocated funding, and beans are being purchased through KyrgyzAgroHolding at a price of 95 soms. In Talas, there are no problems with the sale of beans — the entire volume is being accepted,” noted Idrisov.
