- In 2025, Kyrgyzstan exported 540 tons of natural honey, stated Bakyt Sharipov, the director of the Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. This statement was made at the National Round Table dedicated to issues of developing the export potential of beekeeping.

Last year, according to him, honey exports amounted to 439 tons, indicating growth in 2025. In the first nine months of 2025, exports increased by 26 tons compared to the same period in 2024.

Sharipov also added that Kyrgyz honey is beginning to find its way into new markets, including China, Middle Eastern countries, the USA, South Korea, and Japan. In 2024, 4 tons of honey were exported to the USA.

He emphasized the importance of adhering to veterinary standards and quality control of products. “To successfully enter international markets, it is crucial to strictly follow sanitary requirements and avoid the presence of antibiotics in honey,” noted Sharipov.

Additionally, he mentioned that restrictions on the supply of bee packages to Russia continue to be in effect due to cases of re-exporting products from third countries. The Veterinary Control Service continues to work on resolving this issue.
