Farmers are actively adopting the latest production technologies; however, they face certain difficulties. As noted by Mukhtar Chynaliev, the director of the Department of Organic and Processing Industries of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, the limited domestic market and strict requirements from foreign countries hinder the sale of their products on the radio.
According to him, agrarians have begun transitioning to berry crops and are quickly studying new technologies for their cultivation.
Nevertheless, he emphasized that the main obstacles to sales are both limited domestic demand and dependence on international markets. Kyrgyzstan is situated between major economic centers in the region, such as Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, which creates opportunities for export to both nearby and distant countries, including Europe, the USA, and Southeast Asia. To strengthen supplies, it is necessary to adapt to the requirements of importing countries.
