Comparison with last year shows an increase in gross harvest: rice by 17%, vegetables by 11.6%, fruit and berry crops by 12.6%, corn for grain by 7.9%, and melons and gourds by 5.4%.
However, there is a decrease in gross harvest for barley by 26.7%, wheat by 26.5%, oilseeds by 11.2%, cotton by 48%, tobacco by 33.5%, legumes by 6.5%, and potatoes by 0.9%. The decline in yield of cereal crops in Chui and Talas regions has led to a reduction in the total harvest. Of the total grain volume of over 612 thousand tons, or 34%, was obtained in farms of Chui region, including 180 thousand tons of wheat (35%) and 171.5 thousand tons of barley (36%).
