The first to receive assistance were Professional Lyceum No. 3 and the municipal social stationary institution "Umut" for elderly people with disabilities.
- This is a collective decision of the fair participants. We prepare, deliver, and distribute ourselves. People see the process and hear the gratitude. Many have never been to such institutions, and when they come, they say: thank you for showing us. It is important to support each other in our time, - shared the curator of the fairs in Bishkek from the Ministry of Agriculture, Iskak Anvarbekov.
He also noted that at the fair, flour and essential products are offered at wholesale prices, and businesses trade in turn. Other participants are encouraged to consider social aspects and maintain affordable prices.
- We thank everyone who supports our desire to make the fair lively and convenient for people. We are still waiting for those who are ready to share their talents and new ideas, - Anvarbekov added.
Askar Jumabekov, the chairman of the Chui Council of Veterans, also attended this fair and positively assessed the initiative and its social aspect.
Local residents also shared their impressions.
- It’s convenient that bus No. 1 runs from the square to the Ala-Archa Gorge. We come here from Chon-Aryk with neighbors. Although the prices are not always the lowest, they are still below market prices. Here you can not only buy products but also see something interesting, - said Tatyana Ivanova.
- Our grandson really enjoys coming here. We now have our own route: Panfilov Park, the fair, and home. It’s clean and orderly here, - noted pensioner Kairkul Usupova.
- We buy horse meat, meat, and smoked products. Both the price and quality suit us. Before going to the village, we always stop here, - added Marat Ibragimov.
The weekend fair will operate until June 2026. Participation for farmers and processors is free; they just need to confirm this through the district agricultural department of the Ministry of Agriculture and comply with the requirements for prices below market rates.
Before the New Year, fairs in Bishkek will take place from December 26 to December 31, 2025. After the holidays, a short break is planned.
