On November 29, a food fair was held in the village of Belovodsk, located in the Moscow district of the Chuy region, as reported by a Turmush correspondent.

At the fair, sugar could be purchased for 15 soms less than in regular stores.

Belovodsk, the center of the district, is within the boundaries of the rural municipality Narzan.
The event was organized by the district state administration with the aim of providing the local population with quality and affordable products, as well as to support food security in the domestic market.

At the fair, goods were presented at the following prices depending on quality:

meat — 650–700 soms;

carrots — 25 soms;

onions — 25 soms;

potatoes — 37 soms;

safflower oil (5 liters) — 900 soms;

sunflower oil — 800 soms.

A resident of the rural municipality Tört-Gül, Hamidjon Hamidov, who is a seller, noted that sugar at the fair is sold for 15 soms less than the market price.

“In our rural municipality, a cooperative called ‘Kolosok’ was established, which grew sugar beet on an area of 66 hectares, harvesting 3,000 tons of produce. Currently, we are selling sugar produced from this harvest at a price of 66 soms per kilogram, which is 15 soms lower than the market value,” the seller shared.
