On the London ICE exchange, the price of Brent crude oil futures for delivery in March 2026 fell below $60 per barrel for the first time since December 19, 2025. This data was obtained from trading reports.

As of 10:39 Bishkek time, the price of Brent had dropped by 0.89% to $59.97 per barrel. By 10:51, the futures showed a slight slowdown with a decline of 0.74%, reaching $60.06 per barrel.

The Brent brand represents a standard of oil extracted from the North Sea between Norway and the United Kingdom. The name of this brand originated from the oil field of the same name, discovered in 1970, and its production began in the mid-1970s. Brent has become the main benchmark in the physical oil market.
