According to the report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the U.S. Department of Energy has revised its forecast for the average price of Brent oil in 2025, increasing it by 0.22 percent to $68.91 per barrel, compared to the previous value of $68.76.

Analysts believe that global oil reserves will grow in the coming years, which will have a significant impact on market prices. It is expected that in the first quarter of 2026, the price of Brent oil will drop to $55 and remain at that level throughout the year.
It is also anticipated that OPEC+'s production policy and the ongoing increase in oil reserves in China will help mitigate the price decline in 2026, with OPEC+ producing 1.3 million barrels per day less than planned.
