
The Fitch Ratings agency has updated its forecasts regarding the prices of several precious metals, as reported on its official website.
According to the new estimates, by the end of 2026, the price of gold is expected to reach $3,400 per troy ounce, whereas previously a price of $2,700 was anticipated. In 2027, a decrease to $2,500 is expected, and in 2028, to $2,000.
As for platinum, its projected price for the end of 2026 has been raised to $1,300 per troy ounce. Earlier, in September, it was expected to be $1,050. Fitch analysts believe that in 2027, platinum will cost $1,200, and in 2028, $1,100.
Additionally, Fitch has also revised its forecasts regarding copper prices. It is expected that by 2026, copper will be valued at $9,500 per ton, whereas the previous forecast was $9,000. For 2027 and 2028, prices are expected to be at $8,500 and $8,000, respectively.
