According to Bloomberg, citing data from analytical companies Vortexa, Kpler, and OilX, around one billion barrels of oil have accumulated on tankers in the world's oceans.

According to the publication, a significant portion of this volume belongs to countries under international sanctions. Between 20 to 40 percent of the total oil is linked to supplies from Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.

Despite these countries accounting for only 17 percent of global production, their oil is accumulating on tankers faster than from other regions.

Bloomberg analysts emphasize that the increase in reserves is related both to rising production, particularly in Russia, and to restrictions that have led many ports around the world to refuse to accept oil from these countries.

Experts from Clarksons Securities note: "The increase in volumes is partly explained by stricter Western sanctions, which cause Russian oil to remain on ships and not be unloaded."

Additionally, oil unaffected by sanctions is also accumulating. For example, Saudi Arabia has been increasing both its production and export of fuel in recent months.
