At the "Svodny Post," located near the "Ak-Tilek" border crossing between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, a batch of potatoes weighing 44.2 tons, imported from the Russian Federation, was discovered. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported violations of phytosanitary requirements.

Control measures were conducted by the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. During the inspection, discrepancies concerning quarantine standards were found.

According to paragraph 3.7 of the Regulation on the Procedure for Implementing Quarantine Phytosanitary Control on the Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, approved by the Decision of the Customs Union Commission dated June 18, 2010, No. 318, the absence of a phytosanitary certificate for imported products with high risk became the basis for returning the cargo to the sender.
