As of October 29, the CEC has registered 23 candidates for district No. 8, which encompasses the Alay and Chon-Alay districts, where the total number of voters is 142,405.
The boundaries of the district include: fully the Madyi, Datk, and Bash-Bulak rural communities of the Kara-Suu district; fully the Gulchin, Jany-Alaï, Tilek-Tesh, Uch-Dobo-Alaï, Kurmanjan Datk, Jibek-Jol, and Pamir-Alaï rural communities of the Alay district; as well as fully the Jekendin, Kashka-Suu, and Chon-Alay rural communities of the Chon-Alay district.
