The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has prohibited banks from charging fees for online transfers

According to this resolution, throughout 2026, commercial banks and payment systems will not have the right to charge fees to clients who use services for transferring money in the national currency through mobile applications and internet banking within the country. The main goal of this decision is to ensure the accessibility of digital financial services for citizens and to promote the development of cashless payments.
Furthermore, the same resolution states that from January 1 to December 31, 2026, charging fees from recipients of transfers made through international systems without opening an account in Kyrgyzstan is prohibited. This is aimed at protecting consumer rights and ensuring the accessibility of money transfers for the population.

The text of the resolution is available on the official website of the National Bank at: www.nbkr.kg / About the Bank / Banking Legislation / Resolutions of the Board of the National Bank.
