At the second session of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly in Minsk, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that this assembly plays a key role in stabilizing the social life of the country, reports the BelTA agency.
Lukashenko noted that the delegates, who hold a high status, represent the trust of the people. "You are empowered to make the most important decisions concerning the economy, the formation of the highest courts, as well as ensuring peace and security," he emphasized.
As part of this assembly, the delegates will also need to consider personnel changes in the Constitutional and Supreme Courts. "This is not only about rejuvenating the judiciary but also about caring for the inviolability of the constitutional order, the continuity of generations, and civil harmony. Members of the people's assembly must carry this high title as a banner. You are the future of our country," the president added.
“I am not eternal. I am a departing president. There is no need to be an eternal president,” Lukashenko noted, emphasizing his concern for the future of the country.
At the same time, he stressed that it is the delegates who are the stabilizers of society. “Neither presidents, nor parties, nor deputies will be able to destroy what we have created together. We will change, but it is you who must set the right vector and give the impulse for further movement forward,” he concluded.
