In Karakol, the Traffic Police identified minibuses with first aid kits containing medications expired for up to 26 years
Inspectors from the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety conducted checks at the bus station in the city of Karakol, where they spoke with public transport drivers. They urged them to adhere to traffic rules, including speed limits, the inadmissibility of driving while fatigued, and paying attention to pedestrians.
During the inspection, the technical condition of the minibuses and the presence of first aid kits intended for providing first aid were also assessed.
“You have loved ones. No one can guarantee that they won't get into an accident. Do you really want your relative's wounds to be bandaged with a bandage that has expired 25-30 years ago, or given the same outdated aspirin?” - addressed the drivers Inspector Avaz Shukurbekov from the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety.
The inspector added that at this stage they would limit themselves to warnings, but stricter measures are planned for the future.
“Your conditions are worse than others. The car is from 2000, it is almost 26 years old, and you continue to operate it without updating the first aid kit. The expiration date of the last one expired in 2018, which means it has been 8 years,” - noted Shukurbekov, addressing one of the drivers.
In this regard, he called for improvements in the technical condition of vehicles and noted that an increase in prices and going into service should be expected.
