According to available information, at 09:56 on January 4, 2026, a report of a fire in a yurt located on the territory of the "Karagat" hotel on J. Abdrakhmanov Street was received by the emergency dispatch department in Karakol.
To extinguish the fire, a fire truck was dispatched from the Karakol City Fire and Rescue Station No. 15 at 09:57, arriving at the scene of the emergency by 10:02. The flames were localized by 10:06 and completely extinguished by 10:19. The firefighters returned to their station at 11:38.
As a result of the incident, the metal-framed yurt burned down completely along with its interior contents.
