Since the end of September 2025, the bridge has been closed due to its emergency condition. The city hall previously reported plans for a complete replacement of the load-bearing structures and the widening of the roadway. The opening of the bridge is scheduled for April of this year.
After the work is completed, the bridge will be wider: the number of lanes will increase, and pedestrian sidewalks will be provided on both sides. This reconstruction is being carried out as part of the modernization program for the street and road network of the capital.
