On November 29, the Bishkek City Hall, in collaboration with the company "Bai-Tash Group," signed an agreement for the construction of a bridge over the technical canal known as "mother-in-law's tongue." This was reported by the press service of the city hall.

Previously, this area at the intersection of Shabdan Baatyr Avenue and Ch. Valikhanov Street caused many problems due to the narrow roadway and low traffic capacity. Additionally, the lack of comfortable sidewalks created difficulties for local residents. The new bridge is intended to address these issues and significantly improve transportation accessibility.

Construction work will begin in 2025. The project includes six traffic lanes and a total bridge length of 90 meters, as well as 3-meter-wide sidewalks on both sides. The completion of construction and commissioning is expected to take place in June 2026. Funding will be provided from the city hall's budget, with payments from the city budget occurring in stages over 3-5 years.
