In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, raids are conducted daily to check for fare payment in public transport. Passengers who have not paid for their ride and have not received a ticket are subject to fines, according to part 8 of article 199 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the press service of the city hall, more than 10 passengers become subjects of fines every day.

These raids are organized by the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure in collaboration with representatives of the municipal enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" and the company "Tulpar." The city hall clarified that the fine amounts to 1000 soms and is issued by the public transport inspection operating under the department.
Furthermore, the city hall reminds that when paying in cash on public transport, it is essential to take a ticket. Each trip has its unique number on the ticket, which becomes invalid for the next trip.
