According to local authorities, air pollution negatively affects the health of the capital's residents and worsens the ecological situation in the city.
“The inspection conducts regular raids on baths, saunas, and private facilities to identify cases of waste burning, including automotive oils and paint materials, as well as plastic and rubber,” the official statement reports.
The municipal inspection reminds of the importance of adhering to environmental standards and recommends:
- to refrain from using used oils and waste for heating;
- not to burn leaves, grass, and household waste;
- to switch to more environmentally friendly energy sources whenever possible, including gas heating.
Furthermore, the inspection warns that burning waste and other prohibited materials is subject to administrative liability according to part 3 of article 115 of the Code of Offenses.
