At a meeting held at the mayor's office of Bishkek, issues related to the shortage of bus drivers and the need to increase their salaries were discussed. This information was provided by the press service of the mayor's office.
The Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliyev announced plans to conduct a raid to monitor the state of the city's transport sector. He noted that after the raid, some of the raised issues would be considered and resolved.
During the meeting, organized with the participation of Ramiz Aliyev, representatives from the transport department, and employees of the municipal enterprise "Bishkek City Transport," drivers were able to voice their suggestions and discuss important questions and pressing problems.
During the discussion, the following topics were addressed:
- acute shortage of drivers;
- the necessity of strict adherence to traffic rules;
- issues of salary increases and improving working conditions for drivers;
In addition, drivers expressed a request to abolish cash payments, as this distracts them during work.
