The public expressed dissatisfaction after discussing this topic at the Bishkek City Council
The Vice Mayor of the capital, Ramiz Aliyev, categorically denied the information about the shooting of cats in Bishkek.
“This has never happened and will never happen,” he noted on social media.
Recall that public outrage arose after the issue of possible cat shooting was raised at a meeting of the Bishkek City Council. The deputies asked Aliyev why the city hall included this provision in its documents.
Indeed, the charter of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" contains a provision regarding the shooting of both cats and dogs.
In addition, the city hall is also considering the possibility of banning the feeding of stray animals and establishing regulations on the number of pets and places for their walking.
