According to information received from the press service, the completion of the bridge reconstruction was long-awaited by people who faced difficulties daily due to limited traffic through the old structure.
As specified, the project included a complete reconstruction of the bridge with its expansion. Its width is now 24 meters, and its length is 70 meters, thanks to the merging of two sections. Four lanes of traffic are provided for vehicles, as well as convenient sidewalks 3 meters wide on both sides. The bridge was covered with two layers of asphalt, and 12 new streetlights were installed. In 2026, work is planned to strengthen the concrete structures in the channel under the bridge, including reinforcing the bottoms, side parts, and banks,” the press release states.
The reconstruction work began in July and was completed 30 days ahead of schedule, which delighted local residents who regularly use this route.
