The Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, held a meeting with the new Ambassador of Japan to the country, Hirano Ryuichi, in honor of his appointment to the diplomatic position. This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Edil Baisalov congratulated Hirano Ryuichi on successfully taking office, emphasizing the dynamic development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Japan. He also noted the successful holding of the First Summit of Heads of State within the framework of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue.
The meeting discussed the importance of active political dialogue and Japan's role in the socio-economic and infrastructure progress of Kyrgyzstan, including projects implemented by the Japanese agency JICA. The parties also considered opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in areas such as investment, taxation, as well as cultural and tourism ties.
At the end of the meeting, mutual readiness to deepen the partnership between the two countries was expressed.
