Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov met with Hirano Ryuichi, who was recently appointed as Japan's ambassador to the country. This was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, Edil Baisalov congratulated the new ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission and noted that Kyrgyz-Japanese relations continue to develop. He also emphasized the successes achieved at the First Summit of Heads of State within the framework of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue.
Discussing cooperation issues, the parties emphasized the importance of active political dialogue and Japan's role in the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan. In particular, they talked about projects implemented by the Japanese organization JICA. The participants of the meeting considered opportunities for expanding bilateral relations in the areas of investment, taxation, as well as cultural and tourism exchanges.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to deepen the partnership in the future.
