In Kyrgyzstan, the process of revising the methods of teaching the Kyrgyz language has begun. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Edil Baisalov, announced this at the republican pedagogical conference held on December 22.

He emphasized that fluency in the state language is not merely a formality or a symbol.

“This is an important aspect of full participation in the social, professional, and political life of our country. We will persistently strive for a high level of proficiency in the Kyrgyz language from all graduates. At the same time, the state will increase support for the study of native languages of all ethnic groups in Kyrgyzstan. Our diversity is our strength, not our weakness,” he noted.

Furthermore, Baisalov added that history and geography also require significant attention.

“These subjects help to shape a citizen capable of understanding the past, navigating the present, and responsibly looking towards the future. We cannot afford to teach these disciplines superficially. And here we must be frank: we do not have the luxury of waiting for ideal solutions. We will implement intermediate, practical methodologies, update course content, adjust approaches, and move forward. In education, the journey is more important than the illusion of perfection,” Baisalov added.
