The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, as well as representatives from government agencies, public and international organizations, business associations, and employers.
The main objective of the forum was to form a common understanding of the importance of independent assessment and validation of professional skills. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the need for cooperation between the government, business, and the education sector to enhance the quality of the workforce.
First Deputy Minister of Education Mukhtarbek Baymurzaev noted the successful work of the Independent Certification and Validation Center established in 2023, which is already showing positive results.
He reported that:
— new laboratories have been opened,
— a registry of professional standards has been created,
— over 400 assessment tools have been developed,
— 110 assessors have been trained,
— validation is being conducted for 28 professions, and this list will be expanded according to market needs,
— more than 700 citizens have successfully undergone the skills validation process.
The Ministry of Education expressed its support for the further development of the independent certification system, including the digitization of processes and increasing coverage in the regions.
As a result of the discussions, forum participants identified the next steps for creating a national system for the assessment and recognition of professional skills and expressed their readiness for inter-agency cooperation.
