Every Sunday in the village of At-Bashy, located in the At-Bashy district of the Naryn region, a livestock market traditionally opens. This time, a special interest among visitors was sparked by a stallion, which was assigned the highest price among the livestock presented at the fair.

According to available data, this stallion belongs to the "Özgön" line and its price was set at 300,000 soms.

The owner of the horse is 30-year-old Medetbek uulu Jakshylyk, who lives in the village of Ak-Zhar in the same district. He reported that the horse was brought from the Uzgen district of the Osh region.

“We have kept this stallion for two weeks now. At the moment, we are starting to train him to play ulak. We take care of the horses ourselves: we train them and, if the price is right, we sell them. Currently, the price is 300,000 soms. The horse is 1 meter 63 centimeters tall, has clean, straight legs, and is 6 years old. It can also be let into a herd. It has a hot temperament, but it is strong. The horse eats well and has quickly adapted to our conditions. We keep it just like a Kyrgyz horse, but in warm stalls. Our goal is to play ulak and to breed,” said the owner.

In addition, Jakshylyk added that in recent years, to improve the breed, stallions have been brought from Kara-Köl and Chuy for mating with local mares, which allows for the production of quality foals. Periodic changes of stallions yield positive results, according to him.

As a result of the fair, the stallion was purchased by a resident of the village of Kara-Suu, located in the same district.
