In the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region, in one of the remote villages, a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law are actively engaged in business, offering their products to local residents.

Akzholtoy Satybaeva, a resident of the upper gorge of the Ton district, shared with a Turmush correspondent about her entrepreneurial activities in this remote corner.

“We live in the village of Ala-Bash, which is located far from the district center, at the foot of the mountains. After discussing with my daughter-in-law Zhyldyz, we decided to start making bozo. I taught her the recipe for this national drink, just as my mother-in-law once taught me. We produce and sell more than 30 liters of bozo a day. Over time, we also learned to make ashlyanfu, and this process has become routine for us. Thus, my daughter-in-law and I work in our small kitchen,” shares Akzholtoy.

“After preparing the bozo, we strain it and bottle it, and then we package the ashlyanfu for sale. My daughter-in-law has already adapted to the work. We manage to handle household chores and take care of the grandchildren while also earning extra income. In our free time, we also raise 'Haybert' breed turkeys, which we fatten and sell. We strive to keep the birds clean and offer our customers halal products,” she adds.

“My daughter-in-law shows initiative and actively seeks to develop the business without leaving home. Our joint efforts increase the family budget and bring in a decent profit. Currently, we serve our village, but in the future, we plan to expand our influence throughout the district,” concludes Akzholtoy.
