"Modern youth in cities often do not realize the importance of 'bata'. The more often a person receives this blessing, the better their affairs go, the family's prosperity increases, and health is strengthened. For example, when building a house or buying an apartment, it is necessary to invite relatives, especially elderly people who can give their blessing. Usually, boorsoks are prepared for this, and prayers with good wishes are recited. There is an opinion that consuming alcohol while receiving 'bata' can undermine its power. A Kyrgyz proverb states: 'Bata menen el kögöröt, jamgyr menen zher kögöröt', which means that the people thrive thanks to the blessing, and the land greens from the rain," Musuralieva shares her thoughts.
She also noted the popularity among the At-Bashins of the tradition of "chach öruu" (braiding hair).
