The Supreme Court of Uzbekistan stated that the information about an alleged murder involving a daughter-in-law who made dumplings from her mother-in-law is fictional. The judicial authorities emphasized that no such incidents have been recorded in the country.

Recently, the plot of the program O'tkir tergov, which was aired on the Milliy channel, has been actively discussed on social media. In this material, the authors presented an "investigation" about an alleged horrific crime committed by a daughter-in-law against her family.

According to the press service of the Supreme Court, there have been no cases in judicial practice similar to those described in the plot, and the story itself has no real basis.

The spokesperson for the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan, Aziz Abidov, noted: "No such crimes have been committed in our country, and no similar cases have been considered in the courts."

He added that this story is entirely fictional, despite the authors' attempts to present the material as based on real events.

The head of the O'tkir tergov television project admitted that the journalists used "artistic techniques," explaining this as a "creative approach" of the program.

He stated: "Sometimes we are forced to resort to such artistic techniques, as this is creativity. If our product evokes strong emotions in viewers, then we have achieved our goal."

According to him, the main task of the series is to warn young people about crime through the presentation of instructive stories.

The Supreme Court and the media community urged users to refrain from spreading false information and not to perceive the plot as real news.

Earlier, a number of Uzbek media reported on a non-existent criminal case in Angren, where a woman was allegedly convicted of murdering her mother-in-law and husband. According to the authors' version, after a quarrel during cooking, the daughter-in-law killed her mother-in-law and used her meat to make dumplings, which she served to the neighbors. Subsequently, when her husband found out about this, she allegedly killed him as well.

After these reports appeared online, discussions and calls for stricter legislation began. However, as confirmed by the Supreme Court, this plot has nothing to do with real cases and is a fabrication by the authors of the television program.
