In the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, plans are underway to export apples and apricots to China.

As Talantbek Bazarbaev, a resident of the village of Tosor, told Turmush, the village is located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, at the junction of the Ton and Jeti-Oguz districts. There are over 600 hectares of orchards with apple trees in the rural area. "This year, the harvest was quite good. Personally, we sold apples directly from our more than 4 hectares of apple orchard for 50-60 soms per kilogram in bulk. A cooperative was established in the village to assist local residents. We set up a cold storage facility with a capacity of 50 tons. Currently, some villagers are storing apples and pears there. We are teaching people how to properly store the harvest because in spring they will be able to sell the fruits at a higher price.

We are negotiating the export of apples and apricots to China to profitably sell the products. The Chinese side is also interested in purchasing our harvest. If everything goes well, this year we are ready to export the products of local gardeners abroad," he said.
