Documents related to the Epstein case have caused a stir in global politics

The documents reveal Jeffrey Epstein's global network and his connections with world leaders.

As a result of the publication of these materials, claims have emerged that Epstein may have been linked to foreign intelligence agencies, including Israel's Mossad, and used compromising materials to influence high-ranking officials, including world leaders and representatives of royal dynasties.

The leaks also contain Epstein's correspondence discussing the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul in 2018 and the alleged involvement of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi in this crime.
The murder of Khashoggi is described in these materials as "extremely ugly," and there are also suggestions of video recordings that allegedly fell into the hands of third parties.

In another part of the correspondence, dated 2012, Turkey's actions in the Eastern Mediterranean and the activity of Israeli intelligence services regarding Kurdish issues are discussed.

The names of some members of European royal families are also mentioned in the documents. In particular, Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit is referenced in Epstein's correspondence, raising questions about her interest in him. Additionally, the names of King Frederik of Denmark and Swedish Princess Sofia appear in the materials.

The scandal surrounding the publication of the documents has resonated in international politics. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expressed concerns that the situation could escalate and lead to a potential military conflict, recalling the events of 1998 when the U.S. struck Iraq and Sudan after the Bill Clinton scandal.

In turn, U.S. President Donald Trump faced criticism for his name being mentioned in the new materials, although he insists on his innocence regarding Epstein's crimes.

Experts noted that many of these publications require serious verification, as their content cannot be considered true without official investigations.

Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in 2019 on charges of human trafficking and committed suicide in prison in August of that year, before awaiting trial.

On Friday, 3 million pages, 180,000 photographs, and 2,000 videos were made public.

The publication occurred six weeks after the department failed to comply with President Trump's directive to disclose all materials related to the Epstein case.

“This publication concludes an extensive process of identifying and verifying documents, ensuring transparency for the American people and complying with legal requirements,” said U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

The published materials include details about Epstein's incarceration, his psychological report, information about his death in prison, and materials related to the case of Ghislaine Maxwell, his accomplice convicted of aiding in the trafficking of minors.

Epstein's emails with high-ranking officials have also been republished.

“The Duke” and the Russian Woman

These documents also show Epstein's close ties to the British elite.

The published materials reveal emails from Epstein to a certain “duke,” discussing dinners at Buckingham Palace. In one of the emails, he offers to introduce the “duke” to a 26-year-old Russian woman.

These emails are signed with the letter “A,” which likely stands for “His Royal Highness the Duke of York, a Knight of the Order of the Garter.”

The correspondence took place in August 2010, two years after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for sexual acts.

The emails do not indicate any illegal activities.

BBC reached out for comment from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as the Duke of York. He has repeatedly denied any illegal actions related to Epstein.

Money and Mandelson

Other emails indicate that in 2009, Epstein transferred £10,000 to Lord Mandelson's partner, Reynaldo Avila da Silva.

In one email, Epstein informs da Silva about the cost of an osteopathy course and provides his bank details, expressing gratitude for the assistance.

Epstein replied, stating that he would transfer the required amount, to which da Silva, who married Mandelson in 2023, responded with thanks.

In another series of emails, Lord Mandelson requests permission to stay at one of Epstein's properties.

These emails are dated June 16, 2009, when Epstein was serving a prison sentence for soliciting a minor for prostitution, and he was able to work from his office during the day.

In December 2024, Lord Mandelson was appointed as the UK ambassador to the U.S., but he was dismissed less than a year later after it was revealed that he had supported Epstein after his conviction.

Mandelson expressed regret over his friendship with Epstein, claiming he did not notice any illegal activities during their interactions.

Trump Mentioned Hundreds of Times

In the new materials, U.S. President Donald Trump's name is mentioned numerous times.

Although Trump was friends with Epstein, he claims that their relationship ended many years ago and denies any involvement in his crimes.

Among the new documents is also a list of allegations made via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children hotline, many of which are unverified and unsubstantiated.

The list includes allegations of sexual assault against Trump, Epstein, and other high-profile individuals.

Trump has consistently denied his guilt regarding all allegations and is not connected to Epstein's crimes.

In response to the latest allegations, the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice referred to a press release stating that “some documents contain false and sensational claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI before the 2020 election.”

“All these allegations are baseless and false. If there were even a shred of plausibility, they would have been used against President Trump long ago,” the statement emphasizes.

What Gates Responded

Representatives of Bill Gates responded to the allegations contained in the new materials, calling them “absolutely absurd and false.”

Two emails from July 18, 2013, allegedly written by Epstein, are unclear whether they were sent specifically to Gates. Both emails were sent from Epstein's email address and returned to the same address.

One of the emails contains a resignation statement from the “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation” and regrets that Gates had to buy medication after sex with Russian girls.

The other email, addressed to “dear Bill,” contains complaints about the end of their friendship and claims that Gates hid a sexually transmitted infection from his wife.

A Gates representative noted: “These allegations come from a disgruntled liar and are absolutely absurd.” He also emphasized: “The documents only show Epstein's frustration over the lack of a lasting relationship with Gates and his attempts to tarnish his reputation.”

Are All of Epstein's Files Now Published?

It is unclear whether the publication of documents related to the Epstein case has been completed.

Deputy Attorney General Blanche stated that the publication “concludes an extensive process of identifying and verifying documents,” which may indicate that the Justice Department's work is finished.

However, Democrats claim that the department may have withheld numerous documents—about 2.5 million files—without sufficient justification.

Congressman Ro Khanna, along with Republican Thomas Massie, initiated a transparency bill regarding Epstein's documents and expressed concern about this.

“The Justice Department reported over 6 million potentially important pages, but after review and editing, only about 3.5 million have been published,” Khanna noted.

The department is under scrutiny after it missed the December 19 deadline to publish all documents as required by law.

Many of the published materials contain significant redactions that should only be made to protect victims or the confidentiality of the investigation, and explanations are required.

Blanche noted that the redaction of documents is aimed at protecting victims, and hundreds of department employees worked on this process for more than two months.

Many, including Trump supporters, believe that there is a conspiracy to protect influential individuals connected to Epstein.

Blanche emphasized that the publication of these documents will not satisfy the demand for additional information. He noted that the files do not contain the names of those who committed violence, and if such data existed, the guilty would be held accountable.
