Aktan Tashbaev, a young komuz player from Karakol, is actively developing his musical talents.

He was born on July 14, 2011, in the same city. Currently, Aktan is studying at Gymnasium No. 3 and has already completed his education at the children's art school, where he studied komuz, guitar, flute, piano, pop singing, folk epics, and visual arts. After graduating from the art school, he continues his musical career in the ensemble "Tañ-Nuru".

From an early age, Aktan showed interest in the komuz.

“My parents enrolled me in a komuz club, and since then I have been diving deeper into the world of the Kyrgyz musical instrument, listening to various melodies and trying to reproduce them. My first teacher, Aliyeva Chynara Sarbagyshevna, played an important role in my education; she not only taught me to play the komuz but also helped me grow as a person,” shared the young musician.

Aktan considers the compositions of Atai Ogonbaev, such as "Ak tamak kök tamak" and "Mash botoy," as well as "Mezgil zhanirygy" by Nurak Abdrakhmanov, to be his favorite pieces to perform. “I am attracted to the unique melodies and playing techniques in these works,” he noted.

The first serious challenge for the young komuz player was the "Obon" festival in Bishkek, which he attended at the age of 10. This experience left a strong impression on him. One of his main achievements is winning the "Osh-Nuru" competition in the spring of this year, where he took first place. “This is the most significant victory for me at the moment, and it has become a powerful motivation for further development,” emphasized Aktan.

Going on stage always brings him excitement, but it is more of an inspiration than fear. At the beginning of his komuz studies, Aktan faced difficulties and even felt bored, but over time his love for the instrument deepened, and now he cannot imagine his life without it.

“I have many favorite melodies, and I cherish them all. When I play, I feel freedom and joy,” he added.

By the age of 14, Aktan already has 8 medals and over 50 certificates and diplomas from various music competitions. But this is not the limit: he is also learning the accordion, guitar, flute, and ooz komuz.

“It's never too late to learn to play the komuz. The main thing is desire and hard work. If you practice regularly and listen to your teacher's advice, playing will become easier,” he shares his experience.

In the future, Aktan dreams of becoming a professional musician and reaching the level of great masters of komuz playing.
