In the Naryn region, a new generation of artists is emerging, enthusiastically engaged in preserving and developing national culture. One of the prominent representatives of this movement is Kasiyet Aalieva, a young musician from the At-Bashinsky district. Her determination and persistence in studying folk creativity are admirable.

Kasiyet, born on April 10, 2011, in the village of Acha-Kayindy, is currently studying in the 8th grade at Oi-Tersken Secondary School. In a conversation with a Turmush correspondent, she shared her dreams and achievements, as well as her plans for the future.

“Since childhood, I have been enchanted by musicians who played or sang accompanied by the komuz on television. I dreamed of becoming a komuz player, imagining myself performing on big stages in the USA with a huge bouquet of flowers from my parents,” Kasiyet recalls.

This dream is gradually becoming a reality thanks to her hard work. Having started attending a komuz club in the second grade, Kasiyet successfully graduated from music school and already has several significant achievements to her name. She took third place in an online competition and later, performing in the ensemble "Güldöy ber," won a gold medal at a competition, demonstrating excellent teamwork skills. Additionally, Kasiyet actively participates in remote competitions, which helps her develop her stage skills.

Kasiyet successfully performed in the first round of the "Delphic Games" and advanced to the second stage. As a seventh grader in a competition in Bishkek, she took third place. These competitions provided her not only with an opportunity to showcase her talents but also with valuable experience that strengthened her confidence and opened new horizons.

An important event in her career was the international festival "Nariste," held in 2025, where she met other young musicians and exchanged experiences with them. This event intensified her desire to promote Kyrgyz culture.

In the future, Kasiyet dreams of becoming an artist who glorifies the Kyrgyz komuz on the international stage. However, she is currently faced with a choice between two professions:

- music;

- medicine (KGMA).

Parental support plays a key role in her life. Kasiyet notes, “My parents have always been there for me, helping me both financially and morally. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve such success. I am also grateful to Nazira-ezhe for her support,” she says.

When Kasiyet first started her studies at music school, she did not have a musical ear, but she did not give up. Thanks to regular classes and the support of her teachers, her ear improved significantly, and now she confidently plays the instrument. She already has over 20 pieces in her repertoire. Although a certificate is issued upon completing 5 years of study, Kasiyet decided to continue her education in a sixth, additional course to deepen her knowledge.

Kasiyet expresses special gratitude to her mentor Zaripa Tolobaeva, highlighting her patience and understanding. “She creates all the conditions for us to develop both in music and in other areas,” the young performer shares.

For Kasiyet, the komuz is not just an instrument but an important part of her ancestors' heritage. “Every Kyrgyz should know the komuz. It is our history, our pride. As long as the komuz sounds, the spirit of the Kyrgyz people lives on,” she concludes.
